What is M. I. Lewis?
M.I. Lewis Service Center of Dickinson is the local agency that assists people who live in the Dickinson Independent School District, which includes Dickinson, San Leon, Bacliff, parts of League City, Kemah, and Texas City. The center provides food, clothing vouchers, partial assistance with rent, utilities bills, gas, or medicine. Last year the Center assisted 4,129 families.
School Supplies Provided ... We provide approximately 500 school supply packets to students in the area. Registration for this program takes place in July.

M. I. Lewis Social Service Center has formed four different committees: People & Services, Financial & Fundraising, Community Relations, and Long-Term Goals. SCHOOL SUPPLY PROJEXTM.I. Lewis is seeking sponsors for its annual school supply project. Sponsorships range from $10-$20. This project will provide supplies for more than 600 children. Call 281-534-2043
M.I. LEWIS CENTER SEEKS VOLUNTEERSThe M. I. Lewis Social Service Center is seeking volunteers to do general office work and for special projects such as food drives, school supply packets, and Thanksgiving baskets.
Volunteers will aid those living in the Dickinson Independent School District through emergency financial assistance, food, clothing, and Thanksgiving baskets.
Help is needed Tuesday-Friday 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. Volunteer days and hours are flexible. Training is provided. Those interested may call 281-534-2043
