A thoughtful balanced worship is seen as a participatory service to glorify God and give worshippers an opportunity to feel God's grace as we bring to Him our hopes and hurts.

DURING LENTEN SEASON, services are held on Wednesdays at 7:00 PM preceded by a 6:00 PM soup supper. These services are led by the confirmands. This year (2008) our Lenten services began with the Ash Wednesday Service on February 6th and continued every Wednesday prior to Easter through March 12th.

DURING HOLY WEEK, Easter preparation began... Palm Sunday morning worship services, Maundy Thursday evening worship and communion at 7:00 PM, Good Friday Tenebrau worship at 7:00 PM.

EASTER SUNDAY on March 23rd was celebrated with a 6:00 AM Easter sunrise service and breakfast, followed by the Sunday worship services at the regular hours of 8:00 and 10:30 AM.

CHRISTMAS music programs begin with a presentation by ther Good Vibrations on Sunday evening, December 7, 2008, 5:00 P.M. followed by a Christmas dinner. There will be three (3) services on Christmas eve: 4:00 P.M. family service (Good Vibrations will sing); 7:00 P.M. lessons, carols, candlelight communion and music by the Handbell Choir; 11:00 P.M. candlelight communion service with special music.




CURRENT CHURCH SEASON

  Season: Pentecost

Meaning:
Pentecost means the 50th day and is the longest season of the church year. It lasts until the first Sunday in Advent. The Holy Spirit came upon the disciples while they were gathered in Jerusalem and were empowered to preach to people from every nation who had come to Jerusalem

Season Color: Green - A long season of life and growth when we learn much about our faith and life in Jesus.
