Volunteers Still Needed to Mobilize Odessa For Family Promise

1. Recruitment Team Member Goal: To complete recruiting the final three congregations (which would bring us to the needed 13). Commitment: 1 hr. per month brainstorming with the team on potential candidate congregations. 1 hr per week for personal visits with pastors or lay leaders or small groups of candidate congregations. Living faithfully:trusting God, asking God's hlep and thanking God.

2. Day Center Team Member Goal: To find, for our guests, a daytime place which facilitates their phone calls, their care of their children and their search for jobs and housing. Commitment: 1 hr per month brainstoming with the team. 1 hr per week looking and asking. 1 hr per 3 months [working with/reporting to] the Core Team. Living faithfully:trusting God, asking God's help and thanking God.

3. Transportation Team Member Goal: To secure reliable and cost effective daily transportation [vehicle AND drivers] between day center and host church. Commitment: 1 hr per month brainstoming with the team. 1 hr per week looking and asking. 1 hr per 3 months [working with/reporting to] the Core Team. Living faithfully:trusting God, asking God's help and thanking God.

4. Fundraising Team Member Goal: To estimate expenses. To establish a first year budget. To develop and implement fundraising (congregations, individuals, foundations, denominational headquarters, corporations and special events). Commitment: 1 hr per month brainstoming with the team. 1 hr per week looking and asking. 1 hr per 3 months [working with/reporting to] the Core Team. Living faithfully:trusting God, asking God's help and thanking God.

5. Liaison with the Homeless Coalition
