"When You Sweep the Stairs, Start at the Top."
Sociedad Wesleyana (The Hispanic Wesleyan Society) has invited Rev. Saul G. Herrera to present a workshop designed to improve your organizational skills in ministry, business, or home. Rev. Herrera, a graduate of Iliff School of Theology, is a (ret.) United Methodist clergy and an award-winning public education administrator living in the Chicago area. All sessions will be conducted in both English and Spanish.
Mega-church Site Visit:
For those arriving early, plan to join us for a site visit to New Covenant Life, one of the premier Hispanic led mega-churches in Chicago. Rides leave from the lobby at 2:00 PM. We are going to the main campus at 2704 W. North Avenue. The tour is from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, dinner in the church cafe. (Please be prepared to pay cash for the meal!)
The Plenary Session will convene at the Crowne Plaza O'Hare August 19, 2009 at 6 PM, in the La Guardia Room. We anticipate a very diverse gathering because of ease of travel and proximity to the greater Chicago area. Also, we are hopeful that many of the MARCHA conventioners will join us for the workshop, site visit, and fellowship.
La Liga Biblica will give a brief presentation about their organization after Rev. Herrera's workshop. They are also bring a table display of their Spanish language products.
A brief business meeting will be followed by a time for fellowship and networking.
Seating is limited, so please email Dr. Daniel Flores for reservations.
