2008 Dates for Sukkot

We want to explain how the dates for Sukkot are shown on this website to avoid any confusion for either those attending, or those just visiting our site to gather more information.

The Dates for all YHWH's Moedim (Feast Days) are determined by the sighting of the first visible crescent of the moon. This is called Rosh Chodesh, and it is determined by the sighting of the crescent from Jerusalem in the Land of Israel. Even if you can see it where you are, it may be cloudy in Jerusalem, and so the Rosh Chodesh is not declared. For more information on this, please read this article, The Calendar Controversy, then press the back button on your browser to return to this page.

We have listed the dates below that most likely will be the dates for Sukkot, but they could be one day earlier or one day later depending on the sighting of the Rosh Chodesh/Yom Teruah crescent. Please check with us for the exact dates for the feast. They will be prominently displayed on the HOME PAGE as soon as we confirm the dates.

We also have to remember to think Hebraically when looking at the dates. Remember that all the Feast days start at sundown the day before the listed date. We have listed the start and finish dates of each Feast Day.
