What Time is It
There are many reasons why we believe we are at the brink of the rapture of the church and the tribulation period. Below, there are seven reasons as to why we feel this is true.
1. Israel has become a nation and the fig tree has blossomed. Jesus said in Luke 21:29-31, “…Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.” Israel is the fig tree. THE FIG TREE HAS BLOSSOMED! Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948.
2. The time frame is short once the fig tree blossoms. Matthew 24:32-34. “Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Israel became a nation on May 14, 1948 as I stated earlier. That was almost sixty-three years ago. So how long is a generation? Psalm 90:10, “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow.” Moses, who lived 120 years, said in Psalm 90:10 it was seventy to eighty years.
3. The forming of the European alliance rising up within the borders of the old Roman empire. This was the Roman Empire that was perdicted to rise in Daniel 2: 33, " His legs of iron, his feet part of iron and part of clay." Verses 40-43 explain it and the latter day kingdom made up of this empire which basically is the European Union. "And the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise. And whereas thou sawest the feet and toes, part of potters’ clay, and part of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; but there shall be in it of the strength of the iron, forasmuch as thou sawest the iron mixed with miry clay. And as the toes of the feet were part of iron, and part of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong, and partly broken. And whereas thou sawest iron mixed with miry clay, they shall mingle themselves with the seed of men: but they shall not cleave one to another, even as iron is not mixed with clay." While this is only a very brief explaination, the ten toes represent either ten kingdoms within the old Roman Empire or more likely ten districts that are already being formed throughout the world.
4. The middle east countries, especially those surrounding Israel are falling and will probably be taken by the Islamic Brotherhood, bringing them under Sharia Law. This will force Israel to look for a solution for protection since all around her will be venemies who want to destroy her. The stage will then be set for the anti-christ to make his agreement with Israel as perdicted in Daniel 9:27. “And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” He will break his covenant with them in the middle of Daniel's "week" or three and a half years into the seven year period referred to as the tribulation period. After breaking this covenant, he will set himself up on the temple as being God.
5. The nations are aligning themselves up for the war mentioned in Ezekiel 38 and 39. Ezekiel 38:10-11 says the following: " Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought: And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations, which have gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land." (It is now believed that there could be a great quanity of oil in Israel. She will be at peace, either through confidence in the antichrist, or by her own force.)
6. Our declining nation is paving the way for the rise of the powers referred to in the middle east and Europe. There is no direct reference of America in the prophesies concerning the end times therefore the United States will not be a major player on the world stage. We are seeing signs of America failing even as we speak.
7. The catastrophic events now taking place are a definate sign. "For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows." Matthew 24:7-8 It is not needed to list the numerous earthquakes, storms, fires, droughts, and other disasters that have come upon the world just in the past year as they are very numerous. CHRIST IS SOON COMING BACK! No one knows the day or hour but is is coming! ARE YOU READY?
