What do we mean by “Agents 412”?
1 Timothy 4:12 states:
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.”
By these words, Paul is encouraging Timothy to give no man an occasion to despise Timothy’s youth. What you should know is that Timothy was probably in his late 20’s and unmarried at the time Paul wrote this. That’s right…your age.
Paul’s words for Timothy to be an “example” were words meant to inspire Timothy to serve as a pattern to be imitated, or in other words, to cause a positive effect or change. One meaning of the word “Agent” is “something that produces or is capable of producing an effect.”

We do this to equip young adults with God’s Truth, to provide mission-based community service, to provide a safe atmosphere for men and women to form strong friendships, to transition young adults through real-world experiences, and to help young adults identify their purpose in life.
The Invitation:
We invite you to join us every Sunday morning at 9:30am for a small group Bible Study targeting college and career-minded, unmarried young adults (approximately ages 18-35).
Worship Service follows Bible Study at 10:40am with preaching by Pastor Gilbert Chavez.

Join us every Tuesday night at Metro Austin at 7:37 p.m. As their website states, Metro Austin is a non-denominational, multi-church, citywide weekly Bible study and worship experience for the 18-35 year old generation of Austin, TX. Metro meets at Bannockburn Baptist Church in South Austin near the intersection of William Cannon and Brodie Lane.
