FILL THE ALTAR IN SANCTUARY WITH TONS OF FOOD!

Our project for this month is to bring your donation on Sunday & put in the food basket at the foot of the altar in the sanctuary.  Our goal is to fill the basket and lineup all food on the altar.  We have been having pastry and bread donations from the First Baptist Church of Kearns.  Riverton Elementary School provided a very much needed supply of food from their food drive. Thanks to everyone who has donated for their generosity...  God is working miracles in supplying food for the pantry. The food pantry is open on Saturdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and on Monday evenings from 5:30 to 7:00.

EXTREME COUPONING

Keep those coupons coming in.

We are still collecting coupons to supply food and non-food items for the food pantry.  Save coupons from Sunday paper, Rite Aid, Walgreens, Family Dollar or General Dollar and bring them to the church. Coupon collecting is getting a great start.  Remember to keep bring them in.  We are getting more and more people coming in for food.  Let’s take care of as many as we can.

PRISON & JAIL MINISTRY

“St. Francis of Assisi is like a spider web in the morning, sun, what they are creating is beautiful and blessed.  They have weekly Saturday afternoon Bible study and worship, celebrated several baptisms, offered deacons’ training, and is engaged in ministry outreach to the prison and beyond.

Pastor Charles Hines got the vision in early 2010. He shared his vision with Casey Chapman, who has been going to the prison with him since the first service Aug. 21, 2010.He was then joined by Bill Germundson, who is now working on setting up reentry programs and training.  One Sunday, Harold Straughn, visited Granger Christian Church and met Charles.  After hearing of the story, he offered to conduct training sessions for potential St Francis visitors and volunteers.  This is what happens when seemingly random paths cross.”

We need volunteers (2 a month) to work with Granger Youth Ministry.  Help the youth leadership team plan fellowship and ministry activities.  Time required varies by project or activity – commit to 1 month at a time.  Thanks for the exceptional Thanksgiving Dinner on Nov. 19th.  It was enjoyed by all.
