FBCNN Youth Alive

On fire for Jesus

GIFT WRAP BOOTH

November 27-December 24

Each year the Youth Ministry operates a Gift Wrap Booth at Patrick Henry Mall. This fund raiser allows us to provide financial assistance for youth to attend camps and retreats throughout the year. We are also able to provide assistance for church members who are serving on mission teams. It is imperative that every youth and youth family work a minimum of one shift for each youth in your family. The booth will be located at the hallway intersection between Ruby Tuesday and Dick's Sporting Goods.

You can sign up in the church office by calling 930-0911 or contact one of our coordinators. We will have the sign up sheets in the slate foyer following the 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM Worship Services on November 8, 15, and 22. Our coordinators this year are:

Thanksgiving Weekend (Friday and Saturday) Preschool and Childrens Ministry - Susie Webb

Sunday - Brenda Alexander

Monday - Terri Serio Adkins

Tuesday - OPEN - need at least one person.

Wednesday - Youth Ministry Team - Janet McClung

Thursday - Sunday School - Joyce Nettles

Friday - Andrea Beck

Saturday - Shellye Wardensky and Carolyn Layton

Welcome to the website of the Youth Ministry of First Baptist Church Newport News. Our logo expresses our desire that through our relationships and activities we challenge our youth:  Welcome to Youth Ministry!

  • providing a nurturing environment
  • encouraging a personal and authentic relationship with Jesus Christ
  • challenging youth to reach:

           UP - to honor God

OUT - to minister and share the Good News of Jesus

WITHIN - to deepen commitments to Jesus Christ and one another

Youth are important to the life of our church. We focus on leading our youth to develop a strong faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. The Youth Ministry also exists to provide middle and high school students a place to interact and build Christian relationshhips with one another. We would like to have the opportunity to minister to your family and friends. If you have any questions about our ministry, please feel free to contact me.

WELCOME BACK!

We have resumed our regular Wednesday night schedule. For our High Schoolers we are looking at current issues from a Christian perspective.

Our Middle School group is doing a study entitled, "Teach Me Your Ways."
