LOCAL OUTREACH:

- Join in to meet and greet neighbors during one of the lunches we provide in the community
PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY:
Can you knit or crochet? Or would you like to learn?
- Join this group to knit prayers into shawls, lap robes, chemo caps, and "Hats for Heroes."
CONFERENCE KITS:
Do you feel helpless when you hear of persons hurting because of disaster in which they have lost everything? Help to make health kits which are collected in May and June. They are sent to the United Methodist Committee on Relief for distribution in disaster areas around the world.
SOCK MINISTRY:
Got socks?
- Help collect socks for the Chesterfield-Colonial Heights Christmas Mother through the year and then work in the warehouse during December.
JACKSON FEILD HOME:
Would you be willing to help return young girls to their homes and families? This facility located in Jarratt, VA, houses at risk girls to provide basic human services, counseling and education. Be a part of reaching out to these young girls through collection of such items as towels, aprons, dish towels, curtains for their rooms. Visit the home with others to deliver these items to the girls.
CRENSHAW ELEMENTARY:
Is there a special place in your heart for children?
- Through a partnership with this school, we provide backpacks, field trip money, and help with lunch duty.

UNITED METHODIST MEN AND UNITED METHODIST WOMEN:
Are You Lonely? Want to belong to a group?
- The Men's and Women's groups are the mission arm of the Church. Hands on Projects enable the members to make a difference as they learn about needs around the world.
FOOD TREE:
Would you like to help feed the hungry right here in Chesterfield? Bring a different item each month for the "Food Tree" and help stock the Central Virginia Food Bank.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:
Do you want to make a difference for a child at Christmas?
- In November, provide Christmas for a child through this program of Samaritan's Purse by filling a shoebox with toys and love.
KAIROS:
Do you really want to make a difference?
- This prison ministry team uses our church as the base camp for their weekends at the Pocahontas facility. Learn how to join them. also bake cookies and pray for the ministry.
FREEDOM HOUSE:
Do you want to serve food to the hungry?
- Carpool from the church each quarter to serve a meal at the Conrad Center in Richmond.
SPECIAL SUNDAY OFFERINGS:
Can't get out?
- You can respond to any of the special offerings taken during the year: Lenten Offering for the Society of St. Andrew, One Great Hour of Sharing for UMCOR, Heart Havens, the Samaritan Fund, United Methodist Family Services.
