Kursk Root Hermitage Brotherhood welcomes everyone to this orthodox Holy Monastery were the Kursk Root Icon was found in the year 1295. The Holy Kursk Root Spring is still flowing and helps heal the ill.

The Kursk Root Monastery has been located here for hundered of years.  It was shut down by the communist party for 70+ years and many repairs still need to be completed.  There is progress ever year as money allows!

Kursk, Russia. This is a Holy Orthodox Monastery site!

This is the origional Icon found in 1295 by a hunter and when he lifted it up a spring of water came forth and he built a shelter for the Icon there.  The origional is in New York now and it will return to its Home Root. Many millions of Orthodox Christains are Praying for its safe return!

Kursk Russia is located about 500km south of Moscow and Korennaya Kursk Root Hermitage is about 30km from Kursk, Russia. Kursk in located in the Kursk Region. The Kursk Root Icon is very important Icon to these Orthodox Christains because of the many miricals it has performed and its long history in this region.

This beautiful Kursk Root Icon copy was made a few years ago by ROCOR and sent to Russia so that they could have a Icon while they are waiting for the original Kursk Root Icon to return Home.  The Kursk Root Icon is Loved and Revered around the world.
