Today, in reflection of our yesterday, with great hope for tomorrow, we remember our sunsets, looking contently confident towards the Sonrise. We remember those who have stood firm in the fight for our faith, hope, and freedom. We honor those who have gone before us, carrying the torch, which lights our way to truth, honor, and life. Pressing forward, sharing in the same excellence of the flame, passing the enkindling hope to the generations ahead, may we passionately be so bold, strong, and courageous that we may also stand firm with valor, compassion, and confidence in the contending hope which God has given us.

	Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 1 John 4:1-2

WALK

Teach me Your way, O LORD; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. (Ps 86:11)

Teach – to flow as water (i.e. to rain); transitively, to lay or throw (especially an arrow, i.e. to shoot); figuratively, to point out (as if by aiming the finger), to teach: direct, inform, instruct, shew,

Your way – a road (as trodden); figuratively, a course of life or mode of action

Walk – to walk (in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively):--(all) behave, be conversant, + follow + greater, grow

Truth – certainty, truth, trustworthiness:--assured(-ly), establishment, faithful, right, sure, true (-ly, -th), verity.

Unite – join, unite.

Ps 84:11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; No good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.

Ps 116:9 I will walk before the LORD In the land of the living.

Ps 119:35 ¶ Make me walk in the path of Your commandments, For I delight in it.

Which speaks louder – our “walk” or our talk?
Or do they both say the same thing?

3 - EDITOR's CORNER

Dear Friends,

As you can tell, ECHO is on a “summer’s schedule.” Since the past few publications, the R & R received has been beneficial and helpful, and to top it all off, I will be spending 2 ½ weeks with the family in the mid-west here shortly. Lord willing, maybe after the summer months, ECHO can return to a more frequent publication again, hopefully twice a month.

I hope you enjoy your summer… and again, ECHO will be continuing on at a slower pace for distributions for another month or so, at least until my leave/vacation/holiday experience has concluded.

(1 John 4:1-3)

THE SPIRIT OF ANTICHRIST!

I. Beloved, do not believe every spirit

A but test the spirits, whether they are of God

B. because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

II. By this you know the Spirit of God

A. Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God

B. and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God

- And this is the spirit of the Antichrist

1. which you have heard was coming

2. and is now already in the world.

We live in a unique time. We see many things changing and happening in the world all around us. We see many things that prophecy has spoken of, such as wars & rumors of wars, pestilence (such as the West Nile Virus [http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/westnile, http://westnilevirus.nbii.gov, http://westnilemaps.usgs.gov], Lime disease [http://www.lib.uiowa.edu/hardin/md/lymediseasepictures.html, http://www.canlyme.com/patsymptoms.html, http://www.ccspublishing.com/journals2a/lime_disease3.htm], etc.), seasons changing (different weather patterns, more severe weather events, tornado and hurricane seasons starting sooner – lasting longer, etc)… But this does not mean the end is here, or that the Antichrist is on the scene and ready to control the world… These are but a sign of things to come. There is more to unfold than we can imagine, or know about. But as a child of God, we have nothing to worry or fret about.

We see in verse 3 that the “spirit” of the Antichrist is one that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh… “and is now already in the world.” We meet people every day, at work, in the streets, at the market place, in the entertainment industry, etc, that portray the spirit of Antichrist. There are those I work with who claim they don’t not believe in God, they just don’t know how to believe, what to believe, or want to believe the truth. Many of those I work around believe in a god of some sort, or an afterlife of some kind, but don’t know or grasp the truth of God’s Word. That is a form of the Antichrist spirit… for there is no confession or belief that Jesus Christ came in the flesh, is the Son of God, and came to save mankind of their sins.

We live in a unique time with many grand opportunities. Are we taking the time we have to share God’s Word and truth? Are we witnessing to others in our actions and speech? When we are gone (through death, career move/transfer, etc), will others remember us as a loving person who shared God’s truth – or as just another one of the guy’s?

We still have time… until God calls us home, we can share HIS message of truth and hope… sharing to those who posses the seed of the spirit of Antichrist… And won’t it be wonderful to see someone in heaven someday whom you shared God’s truth to!
