The Truth Will Set You Free-Jesus is That Truth! Today You Are One Day Closer To The Kingdom

Ashley's Today's Scripture
Deuteronomy 4:16
So do not corrupt yourselves by making an idol in any formwhether of a man or a woman,
This Scripture is telling us that we are not to fill our minds of evil things like making idols. Now when you say idol, what pops in you head Is it the thought of a statue, money or gold Well, yes, those are idols but there is many more. Belive it or notmenand woman are idols in many ways. If you like someone so much that you are never able to stop thinking about them, then they are an idol to you. Or even for objects its the same way . Whatever we devote our time too, whatever takes first place in our lives, is an idol. Deuteronomy 4:24 says : The Lord your God is a devouring fire; he is a jealous God.
God does not want you to make idols of anyone or anything. He wants you to be praying to Him not some materialistic thing that man made.
Just think about these Scriptures because If you Trust God He will give you your needs, like Money. So don't make the things that God provides for you an idol. Worship only God.
Dear Lord Jesus,
You are a AMAZING GOD that provides for us and blesses us with Your Word. Thank You so much. Please Father help us to not make idols or false gods, Lord because we now realize that You are our God that loves us, and now we realize a Statue or some material cant forgive our sins or would sacrifice Himself to die for us. Thank You Father. You are Awesome.
In Jesus' Name We Pray
Amen

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

Isaiah 43:2
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
You will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
You will not be burned up;
The flames will not consume you.

Going through rivers of difficulty will either cause you to drown or forces you to grow stronger. If you go on your own strength, you are more likely to drown. If you invite the Lord to go with you, He will protect you and give you His strength and His peace.

Father God, thank You for always being with us. We praise You today Lord God, for all the times & the times yet to come, when You held our heads above water, and kept us safe and strong. Father, we need You with us through every storm, and every valley. We need You always ! In good times and in bad.
Be our Guide and our Strength, We love You Lord! And we praise Your Holy Name ! And in it we pray,.. Amen..
God bless you friends!
Love in Christ,

Let It Go!

Let It Go!

By Roselee Irvine (c) 2006

Let it go, release that prayer! If you

Don't it won't go anywhere.

You pray and fret and worry so!

Why is it you can't let go?

Your faith comes to God, rises to His

Throne.

Why can't you release it and there leave

It alone?

Father God, this is so true that what we

Don't leave in Your hand,

You can do nothing with it, so help us to

Really understand.

That if we pray but then worry, and doubt

Also fret.

That it means we only told You our prayer,

We did not let go yet!

Is it because we doubt that You really

Hear or prayer?

Or we do not trust You listening, and

That You care?

Increase our faith dear Lord, so our

Prayers are left with You.

Help us to let go, then see all the

Mighty things You can do!

Let Go! "Yes Father God today I will

Place my care in Your hand."

You honor my faith, though it is as

Small as a grain of sand!

Thank You Lord, for always being there!

Thank You for taking my prayer!

1 Pet 5:7

Rainbows Come After The Rain

written for Anita

Whatever your cross,
whatever your pain,
There will always be sunshine
 after the rain.

Perhaps you may stumble,
 perhaps even fall,
But God is always ready
 to answer your call.

He knows every heartache,
sees every tear,
A word from His lips
 can calm every fear.

Your sorrows may linger
 throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish
 at dawn's early light.

The Savior is waiting
somewhere above,
To give you His grace
and send you His love.

Whatever your cross,
 whatever your pain,
God always!!!!
Sends rainbows after the rain.

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

1 Samuel 7:3
Then Samuel said to all the people of Israel, "If you are really serious about wanting to return to the LORD, get rid of your foreign gods and your images of Ashtoreth. Determine to obey only the LORD; then he will rescue you from the Philistines."

Samuel urged the Israelites to get rid of their foreign gods.
Idols today are much more subtle than gods of wood and stone, but they are just as dangerous.
Whatever holds first place in our own lives or controls us - is our god.
Money, success, material goods, pride or anything else, can be an idol if it takes the place of God in our lives.
The Lord alone is worthy of our service and worship, and we must not let anything rival Him. If we have 'foreign gods', we need to ask God to help us dethrone them, making the True God of All Creation -- First priority in our hearts and in our lives.

Lord, You Alone are Our God ! And we worship and adore You.
Father, guide us and enlighten us. Show us if we have placed anything above You in our lives. Help us to be honest and search our minds, hearts and souls. Show us anything that is taking over first place in our life and help us dethrone that ! Father, we want You to be King and Ruler of our lives. Be with us Lord . Evaluate and expose to us anything keeping us from getting closer to You. In Jesus' Precious and Holy Name we pray, Amen..

God bless you my friends.

Thank you for praying for Ashley's safe return home from Bible camp.
She had an amazing time and wrote many Scriptures down in her journal.... So she has some special Scriptures God has placed on her heart to share with us soon.

Have a Son-Filled weekend !
Love in Christ,

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

Zephaniah 2:3
Seek the Lord, all who are humble, and follow his commands. Seek to do what is right and to live humbly. Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you - protect you from his anger on that day of destruction.

There was still time for the people of Judah to avert God's judgment. They simply had to turn from their sins, humble themselves, and obey God.
The only way for us today to escape destruction, is to turn to Jesus !
To humble ourselves and turn from sin -- And walk with God !!

O Lord Almighty, how we love You & long to obey You. Set our feet on the path that You have chosen for us. You know far better than we do, what is best and right for our lives. Help us to humble ourselves and turn away from sin. Guide us and direct us, we pray Lord God.
We thank You for Jesus Christ ! We thank You for the eternal blessings resting on His Glorious Name.
Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, we pray this in Your Name, Amen...

Happy 4th of July to all my American Friends.
God bless you all.

Today's Scripture
Posted by Pastor April Hunt on Tuesday, June 20 2006
Today's Scripture

Lamentations 2:11
I have cried until the tears no longer come ; my heart is broken. My spirit is poured out in agony as I see the desperate plight of my people. Little children and tiny babies are fainting and dying in the streets.

Jeremiah's tears were sincere and full of compassion.
Sorrow does not mean that we lack faith or strength.
There is nothing wrong with crying -- Jesus Himself felt sorrow and even wept ( John 11:35)
How do we react to the tearing down of our society and to moral degradation ?
We, too, should be deeply moved when we see the moral decay that surrounds us in this world every day.

Lord, we live in a broken world and we often shed tears for those around us.
Father, help us to reach out and be lights for You in this dark world. Help us to show compassion and love to those in need. And Lord, when we cry, give us Your peace, love and strength.
In Jesus' name we pray.. Amen..

God bless,

Today's Scripture

Psalm 139:14
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
Your workmanship is marvelous-how well I know it.

God's character goes into the creation of every person.
When you feel worthless or even begin to hate yourself, remember that God's Spirit is ready and willing to work within you.
We should have as much respect for ourselves as our Marker has for us.

Lord, You created each of us and You know us by name,
You took the time to make us individuals.
Father, help us when we are feeling low, to remember this Word in our lives.
"Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!"
You are a Mighty God, and we Thank You for taking the time to create us in love. And to make us Your children.
Thank You Jesus !!
In Your Name we pray, Amen...
Have a wonderful weekend friends.

Today's Scripture

Psalm 130: 3-5
LORD, if you kept a record of our sins,Who, O Lord, could ever survive? But you offer forgiveness,That we might learn to fear you. I am counting on the LORD;Yes, I am counting on him.I have put my hope in his word.

Keeping a record of sins ( or holding a grudge) is like building a wall between you and another person, and it is nearly impossible to talk openly while the wall is there.
God doesn't keep a record of our sins ; when He forgives, He forgives completely, tearing down any wall between us and Him.
Therefore, we fear (revere) God, yet we can talk to Him about anything.
When you pray, realize that God is holding nothing against you. His lines of communication are completely open !

O Lord, we thank You for forgiving us our sins.
Father, we worship You and we give You praise with our hearts and lives. We put our hope in You and our trust in Your Word. Thank You for Jesus! Thank You for opening the lines between Your Heavenly Throne and our earthy home.
In Jesus' Name we pray, Amen..

May God Bless You

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

Psalms 139: 1-5

O LORD, you have examined my heart
       And know everything about me.
You know when I sit down or stand up.
You know my every thought when far away.
You chart the path ahead of me
And tell me where to stop and rest.
Every moment you know where I am.
You know what I am going to say
Even before I say it, LORD.
You both precede and follow me.
You place your hand of blessing on my head.

Sometimes we don't let people get to know us completely because we are afraid they will discover something about us that they won't like.
But God already knows everything about us, even to the number of hairs on our heads ( Matthew 10:30 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. ) and still He accepts and loves us. God is with us through every situation, in every trial - protecting, loving, guiding. He knows and loves us completely.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for loving us with an everlasting love. Thank You that You accept us with all our faults and love us just as we are. And thank You Lord that You refuse to leave us that way !
Praise Your Mighty Name ! Amen..

God Bless You !!

Today's Scripture

Hebrews 11:3
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.

God called the universe into existence out of nothing ; He declared it was to be, and it was !
Our faith is in the God who created the entire universe by His Word.
God's Word has awesome power !
When God speaks, do you listen and respond ?
How can you better prepare yourself to respond to God's Word ?

O Glorious Heavenly Father, how we adore You !
Creator and Sustainer of all the universe.
Thank You for loving us and saving us.
Father, guide us into a deeper relationship with You.
As we come into Your Presence Lord when we pray and read Your Word, prepare our hearts and speak to us !
Create in us all a hunger and a desire to know the God of the Universe more and more every day !
In Jesus' Name we pray ! Amen...

Psalm 119 : 165
Those who love your instructions have great peace and do not stumble.

Modern society longs for peace of mind.
Here is a clear cut instruction on how to attain this :
If we love God and obey His Laws ( His Word) , we will have "great peace".
Trust in God, who alone stands above the pressures of daily life and gives us full assurance.

Father God, we love You and we thank You for Your Word.
Lord, You bring such peace with Your Holy Presence.
You offer that peace to each and every one of us. Lord, guide us into seeking You daily in Your Word and following all the Instructions You have richly blessed us with

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

People change... We all know someone who was one way yesterday and is quite different today.
But Jesus Christ "is the same yesterday, today, and forever".
We need to keep our eyes focused on Christ, our ultimate leader.
Unlike humans, Jesus will never change. Christ has been and will be the same forever !
In a changing world we can trust our unchanging Lord !

O Lord, how we love you.
We live in such a broken world, where people change their colors so often. Lord, help us to keep our eyes fixed on you. Keeping You central in our view. Thank you that you love us so much. Thank you that you died for our sins so that we may be called your friends. In Jesus Name, Amen..

May God Bless You !
Have a Happy Valentines Day !
And remember to love one another every day!
Love in Christ,

Today's Scripture

2 Corinthians 1:24
But that does not mean we want to dominate you by telling you how to put your faith into practice. We want to work together with you so you will be full of joy, for it is by your own faith that you stand firm.
Standing firm is not a way to be saved, but the evidence that a person is really committed to Jesus.
Endurance is not a means to earn salvation, its a by-product of a truly devoted life. Endurance grows out of commitment to Jesus Christ. In Matthew 10:22 And all nations will hate you because you are my followers. But everyone who endures to the end will be saved. Jesus predicted that His followers would be severely persecuted by those who hated what He stood for. In the midst of terrible persecutions, however, they could have hope, knowing that salvation was theirs.
Times of trial serve to sift true Christians from false or fair-weather Christians. When you are pressured to give up and turn your back on Christ, don't do it ! Remember the benefits of standing firm and continue to live for Christ !
Jesus died for me--the least I could do is live for Him !
Thank You Jesus, for Your Unfailing Love. Thank You that You came and lived and died for me. Lord, guide me to live my life all out for You, regardless of the trials and persecutions I might face along the way. May my life be a testimony of my commitment to You. In Jesus' Name, Amen..
May the Lord bless you and keep you !
Love in Christ, Our Savior and King !

WHEN WE SHARE

WHEN WE SHARE
By Connie Ciccone

When we share laughter,
There's twice the fun;
When we share success,
We surpass what we've done.

When we share problems,
There's half the pain;
When we share tears,
A rainbow follows rain.

When we share dreams,
They become more real;
When we share secrets,
It's our hearts we reveal.

If we share a smile,
Then our love shows;
If we share a hug,
Then our love grows.

If we share with someone
On whom we depend,
That person becomes
Family and friend.

And what draws us closer
And makes us all care,
Is not what we have,
But the things that we share.

And God gives us grace
With the gifts that we share.
To perform all these tasks
And today that you wear!

Life's Tug-O-War

Life's Tug-O-War
By Connie Ciccone

Life can seem ungrateful ~ and not always kind.
Life can pull  your heartstrings ~ and play with your mind.
Life can be blissful ~  happy and free.
Life can put beauty ~ in the things that you see.

Life can place challenges ~ right at your feet.
Life can make good ~ of the hardships we meet.
Life can overwhelm you ~ and make your head spin.
Life can reward those ~ determined to win.

Life can be hurtful ~ and not always fair.
Life can surround you ~ with people who care.
Life clearly offers ~ its ups and its downs.
Life's days can bring you ~ both smiles and frowns.

Life teaches us to take ~ the good with the bad.
Life is a mixture ~ of happy and sad.

So...

Take the life that you have ~ and give it your best.
Think positive, be happy ~ let God do the rest.
Take the challenges ~ that life has laid at your feet.
Take pride and be thankful ~ for each one he'll meet.

To yourself give forgiveness ~ if you stumble and fall.
Take each day that is dealt you ~ and give it your all.
Take the love that you're given ~ and return it with care.
Have faith that when needed ~ it will always be there.

Take time to find the beauty ~ in the things that you see.
Take life's simple pleasures ~ let them set your heart free.
The idea is simply ~ to even the score.
As you meet ~ and are faced with
Life's Tug Of War.

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

Psalm 51:17
The sacrifice you desire is a broken spirit. You will not reject a broken and repentant heart, O God.

God wants a broken spirit and a broken and repentant heart.
You can never please God by outward actions -- no matter how good -- if your heart attitude is not right.
Are you sorry for your sin ?
Do you genuinely intend to stop ?
God is pleased by this kind of repentance.
And He will never reject a repentant, humble heart.

Heavenly Father, we humbly come to You as sinners today Lord.
We ask for Your forgiveness for our sins. We lay them at Your feet and we turn from them, In Jesus Name ! Father take our lives and let them be consecrated Lord to thee. Make us New and Create in us a clean heart. Father, we love You and we come with a repentant spirit and a humble plea.. Lord, forgive us and set us free. Thank You Jesus ! In Your Name we pray, Amen..
God bless you as you walk in Him.

Today's Scripture

Today's Scripture

Mark 4:41
The disciples were absolutely terrified. "Who is this man ?" they asked each other, "Even the wind and the waves obey him !".

The disciples lived with Jesus, but they underestimated Him.
They did not see that His power applied to their very own situation.
Jesus has been with His people for 20 centuries, and yet we, like the disciples, underestimate His power to handle crises in our lives.
The disciples here did not yet know enough about Jesus.
We can not make the same excuse !

Heavenly Father, thank You again for sending us Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Lord, help us to seek You out in Your Word. To call out more to You in prayer.
Guide us and reveal Yourself more and more to us each day.
Father, we know that Jesus can handle all of the storms in our lives. Please remind us to give those storms to the One who can calm them! The One who has shown Himself more powerful than the waves on the Sea. The One who rose from the grave and set us free! In Jesus' Name, Amen..

Have a terrific Weekend my friends!
Love in Christ,
April
