ASSISTANT OF THE DAY

As Assistant of the Day, your ministry is to be on hand for all congregational associated functions in the church building during the time appointed.  If you need help or have questions, Tom Pheasant is willing to help you find all the various switches, or you may contact the Church Office.  There is a building map attached to these instructions.

You are on call for any emergencies.  Know where the First Aid is and the fire extinguishers.  Be alert for intruders.  Engage anyone who looks puzzled or strange.  Be prepared for a fire alarm or to call for a lock down in the Education rooms.

DUTY HOURS:  Be on hand at least one (1) hour before the scheduled service(s) and remain on duty until those services are over and most people have left.  For the regular Sunday morning that would be approximately 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. .

BADGE:  There is a symbol of the office, a silver cross on a black cord, that you will find with the key (on a black cord) when you pick it up.  This will identify you as the Assistant of the Day.  Pick up the AoD keys and information during the office hours, 9:00 a.m. -2:00 pm, on the Friday prior to your Sunday to serve.  If that is not convenient, check with the Pastor how to pick up your key.
