We’ve been waiting for you! We believe that every person who
comes into this special fellowship was sent by God. It’s not by accident that
we have the joy of meeting you. We want to express Christ’s love to you with
genuine, heartfelt warmth. We’re eager to know you, and excited to share with
you ways God is working in our lives.
It won’t take long to discover that this is truly a family,
rich in a heritage of relationships that matter. Growing together, we worship,
we serve, we laugh, we cry, we learn, and we reach out to our world with
life-transforming truth. Our doors are open. If you’ve been thinking, praying,
searching, and hoping for a place to belong, we say again . . .
Welcome Home!
Who
We Are
The Albion
Seventh Day Baptist Church has been part of the Albion community for nearly 170
years. It was organized in 1843 by settlers arriving primarily from New York and New England. While valuing Sabbath worship, they also valued coeducation.
In 1853, even before erecting a church, they established one of the first
coeducation facilities in the state, the Albion Academy, which opened its doors in the fall of 1854. In its heyday, the academy rivaled even the University of Wisconsin.
Church services were held
in the academy until 1861, when additional land was purchased and the present church was built.
Seventh Day
Baptists are evangelical Baptists who keep the seventh day Sabbath of the
Bible. We are Christ-centered, Bible-believing people, valuing traditional
family values.
Our Mission
To care for our communities as Jesus the Christ demonstrated his care, and be the welcoming church family others come home to.
