The simple music, scriptures, prayers, and slow pace of the Taizé service invite us into communion with God. We are gathered in the presence of Christ, uncluttered by a lot of words, making space to become more aware of the mystery of God. Lighted candles remind us that even when we are surrounded by darkness in our personal life or in the life of the human community, Christ’s love is a fire that never goes out.
