Hello! Kelly and I would like to welcome you to our web site. First is a growing church located in downtown Berkeley Springs. We have two worship services. A contemporary service at 8:15 AM (yes it really is that early!), and a traditional service at 10:45 AM with Sunday School at 9:30. God is doing some wonderful things in our church, and you will see evidence of God’s hand at work all through this web site. You will also see signs of a commitment to live out our mission statement which we boil down to three words: Win – Build – Send. Let me take a moment to share with you a little bit about our growing edges and our vision for the future.

This is a strong church committed to sharing the love of Christ with the community in many ways. Here are a few of the areas in which we are growing:

  • We have a growing ministry to the children and youth in the area. We have a full-time youth pastor and a full-time staff person for children’s ministry.
  • We are growing in mission. We now send teams locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Our Seek and Share team is leading the church in servant evangelism which provides non-threatening opportunities to show the love of Christ to our community by stepping out in an act of love that may open the door to a conversation about faith issues.

While God is working in these areas and more, we also see a larger vision for the future.

  • Our church is committed to reaching the youth and children in our community. In July of 2002 we hired a full time Youth and Worship pastor followed the next year by a full time Children's Ministries pastor. Our Youth program has been transformed from Sunday School to Sunday nights. We now have a skit team, a youth praise band, a dedicated and decorated youth room, and a full calendar of events for junior and senior high students. Our youth group has grown in leaps and bounds and we believe this ministry will continue to grow. We have also transformed our children’s ministry programs and our Children's Department physically reflects that in the Promise Land motiff.  On a recent Sunday, one of the young attendees was overheard saying to her mother, "Mommy, can we live here?"
  • In addition, we feel we are being led by God to expand our ministries by starting a second campus. God led a couple (who were not members of the church at the time) to donate 24 acres of land about 1.5 miles from our current location. We have formally established a building committee and our hope is to begin by building a multi-purpose building on this campus for fellowship space, teaching space, outreach space, as well as children and youth space.

God is doing some wonderful things in this church, and we hope that you will stop in and get to know us. We look forward to meeting you.

In Christ,

Andrew
