Stuff That Doesn't Fit Anywhere Else

Needed - Nursery TLC Teams - Need volunteers willing to devote two hours, once a month to thoroughly clean and sterilize our two nursery areas.  Babies and young children need safe and specially cared-for areas.  Please contact the church office if you are willing to assist in this important project. College Planning - Kirk MacBeth is offering free college planning services to members of First Church.  Parents or high school students who are interested should contact Kirk. Todler Sunday School - Dear Mommies and Daddies/Grandmas and Grandpaps: Having trouble with tantrums in the middle of Food Lion?  Wondering if your little one will ever tackle the potty?  Encountering the “terrible twos… threes…fours…”?  Believe us, you’re not alone!  Come and share with other parents and discover the 10 biblical words your kids will remember you for! The Toddler Sunday School at First United Methodist Church would like you to join us for a six week Toddler/Parent Sunday Bible Study!  We know how hard it is sometimes to go to your own Sunday School Class… you’ll miss us terribly!  Or, if you just like to “hang-out” with the other mommies and daddies in our class… we’ve got a treat for you!  The Family Ministry office of First Church is pleased to offer a Bible Study program just for parents!  So, bring your little ones and join other parents for a look at “10 biblical traits your kids will remember you for”!  A new class will be starting soon. Teachers will be sharing Bible stories with your children while others will be facilitating the Parent Bible Study.  There will be lots of arms to hold and love babies!  And…. Lots of stories about the trials and tribulations of raising toddlers!  If you have any questions, just give us a call at the church 258-2766.  We really hope you can make it!  For those parents brave enough to survive the parenting of these trying years, a graduation ceremony will follow at a First UM Church service.  You, the parents, deserve it!
