An over 55 luncheon group meets the 3d Monday of each month at noon, in the Fellowship Hall.  Meat and beverage is always provided and participants are encouraged to bring a "covered dish" to share.  If transportation is a problem, call Peggy or Carl at 258-5191. GO FRIENDS!  Every Thursday, 3:30 - 5:00 pm, for Kindergarten through 5th grade, snacks, devotions, sports, games, crafts and special interest electives (in November and December - knitting and drama).  Bus service provided to First Church from Widmyer Elementary and Warm Springs Intermediate School.  Children must be signed up in order to attend this event. First meeting day for GO FRIENDS! was November 12 and it was a blast.  This is a FREE program for children in our community.

Christian Education

Financial Peace University - This 11 week series teaches how to live a debt-free life and expand your wealth at the same time.  The class is based on Biblical theory and the series will be offered to teens, young adults, adults, and adults and their children.  The cost includes a one-year membership in the University, a textbook, accounting materials, workbooks, and access to the University website. Talk to any graduate - they'll tell you it's something you really need if your financial situation seems to be bigger than you! A class recently graduated.  If you are interested in attending the next one you need to contact the church office and ask to be put on a waiting/notification list. New Women's Bible Study - Led by Sarah Fisher & Kelly Cooney, this new study is based on Cynthia Heald's book Becoming a Woman of Grace, will begin Thursday, November 12, at 9:30 am in the Conference Room.  For more information or to order a book (cost is $8) please call the church. Advent Bible Study - The Incomparable Jesus begins Wednesday, December 2 at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall.
