Serving the communities of Andover, Bolton, Colchester, Columbia, Coventry, Hebron, Lebanon, and Marlborough, Connecticut Where ordinary people are doing extraordinary things. Our purpose is to provide information, help and inspiration to Internet explorers. We hope you'll find features that will make you want to bookmark our site as a favorite location. If you're looking for a church home, we'd love to have you become part of our parish family. If you're already an active member of a church, then we ask for your prayers as we try to make the Good News of Jesus Christ known to those who travel through cyberspace. Organized in 1734, we have a long and wonderful history — and yet we’re a modern, active congregation, with all of the worship, programs, and activities you would expect to find in any Episcopal church. We have a flourishing Sunday School, adult Christian education programs, Bible discussion and study, retreats, quiet days, fellowship groups, prayer groups, and a long list of activities that reach out to people in need. Welcome!

Community/Diocesan Events We have received the Christmas gift tags made by the children of The Church Holy Family as part of their annual outreach project to make Christmas a little brighter for those less fortunate. They are posted on a bulletin board in the church narthex. Please take a tag (or two if you can) and buy the gift noted on it. The gifts need to be returned to the office of St. Peters by December 13th. The Marlborough Food Bank - Donations of food are wonderful and very much appreciated, but did you know that a donation of just $5 can purchase enough food for 17 meals through Foodshare? According to Foodshare, a shocking 10% of the people in Hartford and Tolland counties go to bed hungry. If you'd like to help, but keep forgetting to pick up items at the store or bring them to church, consider writing a check for the Marlborough Food Pantry or Foodshare or put $5 in an envelope (labeled food pantry or Foodshare). We'll get the donation to them! It's a very easy way to make a big difference. W.A.I.M. Walk for Warmth – Walk for Warmth raises funds to support W.A.I.M.’s Energy Program. This worthwhile program assists people in financial difficulty and prevents their having to choose between food and fuel The Walk is being held on Sunday November 22 in Willimantic beginning with a service of Interfaith Thanksgiving at 1:30. A minimum donation of $20 in pledges is needed to participate in the Walk. For more information and a registration form please call the St. Peter’s office (228-3244, M-F, 8-11). And don’t forget Adopt-a-Family for Christmas – The Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (W.A.I.M.) is looking for donors (either individuals or groups) to adopt a family for Christmas, providing a holiday meal and gifts for every member in an adopted household. A tree and decorations are optional. WAIM matches donors with families referred to them by social service agencies. For various reasons (job loss, illness, personal crises) these families will not be able to provide a holiday celebration for themselves or their children. Maybe a group of Saint Peter’s parishioners could join up and adopt a family. For more information please call WAIM at 456-7270; www.waimct.org Red Cross Blood Drive – On December 16th the American Red Cross will be holding a blood drive at Phelps Hall. Volunteers to assist donors would be very much appreciated. Two to three people from around 12:45-6:30 p.m. would be great. The volunteers help registering people or handing out snacks and juice after the donation process. Please let the St. Peter’s office know by phone or email if you would be able to help out.
