"I have never stopped thanking God for you" -Eph. 1:16a
Has your day thus far been filled with thanking God? God has done so much
for each of us, but I dare say that we are all concentrating on what we
need God to do and are spending less time thanking Him for what
He's already done. |

"What I want instead is your true thanks to God;" -Psm.50:14a
In the previous verses God had commended the people on their
faithfulness in animal sacrifice, but added that animals was not what
He desired, He owned them anyway, but instead He wanted true
thanks. It's still true today! God is pleased when we faithfully
attend
church, pay tithes, help in local and worldwide mission projects, sing,
etc. But He is truly blessed when we praise & worship Him with
thankful hearts. As we pause this week to celebrate the freedom
and liberties of our country, take time to count all your blessigs and
thank God for everything. |

"When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some
doubted." - Matt. 28:17 There seems to always be 2 crowds: those that worship
Christ and those who doubt. In which crowd are you in? Whether it's
in a church service or in a shopping center there are some who
worship Him with their hearts & lifestyles and those who doubt with
their intellect and actions. I encourage you today to be a worshiper,
a true worshiper who worships in spirit and in truth! |

"I will go before you and make the crooked places
straight;" -Ish.45:2a Have you realized that wherever you go today God has
gone before you? Right now He's making crooked places straight
for you. So know that He's directing your steps and going before
you and walk with confidence and assurance.

"The lazy person is full of excuses..." -Prov.22:13 Do you ever catch
yourself making excuses for your behavior? Whether it be to
rationalize what you do or what you fail to do! I made the statement
in one of the sermons this weekend that excuses are small truths
wrapped with lies. Today don't be lazy and be full of excuses, step
up and do what needs to be done! |

"When I refused to confess my sin, I was weak and
miserable, and I groaned all day long." -Psm.32:3 (NLT)
Could it be the reason you
may be weak and miserable today is not because of anyone you
work with, live with or have to deal with, but because there are some
sins in your life that you have refused to confess? Just something to
think about. Let each of us search ourselves and if there is anything
in us that needs to be confessed or repented of, let's get it right
with
God today. |

"...you may inherit a blessing." -I Peter 3:9
God has blessings in store for each of us whom follow the instruction of the
prior verse. Such things as be tenderhearted, courteous, have
compassion, love one another and bless one another. In fact when
we treat each other that way we are receiving some inheritance as
well. Other inheritance blessings that we can receive now are
answered prayers, wisdom, healing, our needs being met and the
list could go on and on!! So remember, be glad for you have an
inheritance from God! |

"The integrity of the upright guides them" -Prov.11:3a
Wondering which direction to go today? Let your integrity guide you.
Be a man or woman of godly character today. Even when no one
else sees you or knows your actions, be reminded that God does
and He's really the only one that matters.

"Therefore, since we have been made right in God's sight by faith,
we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has
done for us." -(Romans 5:1NLT)
There is nothing in this world like peace. None of us like conflict
or that uneasy feeling that you get
when your in the presence of someone that is not at peace with you.
How wonderful it is when we are at peace with one another, but what
a greater blessing to know that we are at peace with God. Take a
moment to thank Him for peace. If you are not at peace with God
then it's real simple to obtain, today's scripture says we have it
because of what Jesus has done. Accept His sacrifice and ask Him to be
Saviour and Lord of your life and that peace will sweep through your
soul! |

"Gather together and pray," "Gather while there is
still time" -Zeph. 2:1a & 2a (NLT)
Isn't it wonderful that as subscribers to this devo that
we can gather from across this nation and pray together? It would be
impossible for all of us to be able to gather in the same building
each day, but through this medium we can share needs & praises
and while there is still time, we can lift up our voices and spirits to
our Heavenly Father. Thank God for this opportunity! |
