200 YEARS FOR SAINT JOHN'S CATHARINE Saint John's Catharine celebrated 200 years of Mission and Ministry on October 3rd. Bishop Prince Singh preached the sermon - and a representative of the Schuyler County Historical Society, Carol Fagnan, presented a history of the Catharine Settlement in the 1800's. The Silver Altar Service, a gift of the Lawrence Family in the mid-1800's, was displayed on the Altar.
For the fifth year in a row we hosted the county-wide distribution of food and gifts to needy families that have been 'adopted.' The Episcopal Parishes of Schuyler County sponsor the 'Labor of Love' effort for the entire County. In total more than 600 families received Christmas Outreach in conjunction with the county food pantry, Schuyler Outreach. [That's Father Michael waving from amid the donated food and presents piled high on the tables in the foreground.]
