CHRISTIAN EDUCATION INFO

Saint John's Catharine conducts a Christian Education class for children during the 8.45 am Eucharist.  The children begin in Church, leave prior to the Scripture readings and join the congregation for Communion.  Sue Hawley is the teacher.

Saint James' Watkins Glen conducts a Christian Education class for children prior to the 10.45 am Eucharist.  Most Sundays, the class meets at 10 am in the classroom of the Mann Parish Hall.  Children worship with all of us for the Eucharist.

On combined worship Sundays the children join the congregation for the entire service.

We love our kids!

The Right Revd Prince Singh made his second vistation to  the Episcopal Parishes of Schuyler County on Sunday, July 26th.  This was the EPSC Picnic Sunday.  Worship was under a tent adjacent to Saint John's Catharine.  The Picnic followed the Eucharist.  Bishop Singh dedicated, as a part of the morning's service, the new plantings at Saint John's Church in honor of the late Father Sal Mistretta.  (Below is a picture of the Bishop rehearsing the hymns before the service.)

WEEKDAY WORSHIP: Feburary 8th - February 13th

Weekday Services are at Saint James' Watkins Glen in February.

The Daily Office of Morning Prayer: 9 am Monday through Wednesday.

The Holy Eucharist: 9 am Wednesday, with Morning Prayer.

At the picnic in August 2008 we celebrated the 50th wedding anniversary of Wayne and Eleanor Atwell.

For the third year in a row we hosted the county-wide disribution of food to needy families that have been 'adopted.'  More than 120 families received Christmas Outreach from the Labor of Love outreach this year. That's Father Michael waving from amid the donated food and presents piled high on the tables in the forground.
