"THE GATHERING" - EVERY SATURDAY EVENING we have a COMTEMPORARY SERVICE WITH HOLY EUCHARIST It is now a permenant service! If you can't attend Sunday services, for any reason, you have a choice! HELP UPPER CRUST HELP OUR CHURCH! Buy Astros tickets for $20 for the game on Sunday, September 28th and the Astros will refund $10 for each ticket we sell. Your support will assist us in funding projects for Holy Comforter not covered in the church budget. Tickets will be sold after every service now - September! Thanks for you help!

MINISTRY FAIR/RALLY DAY - September 7th between the 8am and 10:30am service and at noon (after the 10:30am service)! This year's theme for Ministry Fair is " Walking in the Kingdom Through Ministry" Hosea 14:9 "The ways of the Lord are right, the righteous walk in them." See all of our many ministries displayed and sign up for service in 2008-2009 in at least one ministry! Rally Day displays will be in the A.R.K. and sign up sheets will be available for Bible Study opportunities! Don't miss this EXCITING day!!

NEW PLAYGROUND BLESSED and being enjoyed by all our children! An update from Kim Faasse...thanks to everyone who has donated to the new playground by supporting the youth fund raisers and cookbook sales. We do need to sell MORE cookbooks! They are available for purchase in the Parish Hall! Sale price $10 each or 2 for $15. Any additional money will only ADD TO the equipment already purchased; a new surface and new fence are next to add to improvements and will make our playground better and safer for our children and the children to come. Believe it or not...our playground is an "evangelism tool" for people driving down Spring Cypress Rd. Families are drawn to churchs that put their children first and the outward indication of that is the attractive and safe child's playground! THANKS to everyone for your support!
